Time out

Taken some time out to look at where I am and where I'm going....

Got some exciting new ideas for buquets including one to go with the fab Vivienne of Holloway dresses and will be inspired by tattoos!!!!

Spent some time in Norfolk with my lovely family and tried metal detecting on the beach, but didn't even find an old bottle top!!!

As Christmas is fast approaching (yes I used the C word) I have been concentrating on my day and evening jewellery and it has been selling faster than I can make it so with craft fairs fast approaching, I am going to have to get my skates on and put off some of my new ideas until later.

Got to go, I can feel a big bead and crystal order coming on....feels like Christmas already!

Completed Hayley Bouquet

Finally finished the bouquet for Hayley.

There are six coq feather sprays, 122 Swarovski crystals, six crystal buttons, 4m of ribbon and six organza flowers with 160 petals in each totalling 960 hand curled petals in the bouquet!

The bouquet was requested by the bride who chose the colours of the ribbon, organza, crystals, buttons and feathers and we worked out a design together to compliment the colour theme of her wedding.

I hope you like the finished result....

Nearly there

Had a hectic weekend with my daughter having a friend around for a sleepover before the end of the holidays and my family coming to help with some repairs to the house after the high winds earlier in the year caused some damage.

Have got on with Hayley's bouquet and after taking apart and re doing the bouquet several times, I now have to sew on the final button a crystals to the ribbon to complete the finished item.

Just a few more tweaks....and time needed to do it and then I will be able to take the final pictures and deliver it to her mother's house.

If only there were a few more hours in the day....I would probably fill them!!!

I'm back!!

Back after a few fantastic days away with my family in a very sunny Norfolk!

Swimming in the sea, fair rides, crazy golf, building sandcastles and looking for dinosaurs at Dino world! (my three year old loved it!!!)

Just putting together the Hayley bouquet now and doing the finishing touches.

Will take some photos and reveal on the next blog.

Straighten out!

Having spent the last few days putting 100 Swarovski crystals along monofilament, I now have to leave them a few days stuck to a straightening board to try and straighten them a bit. (the monofilament has a tendency to curl!)
Going to spend a few days with my children now xx

Stems and buttons ready

All six flowers now have their stems attached, which have not only been handstitched on, but glued (to make double sure they're not going anyway!).
The buttons have also been attached to wires, ready to put into the bouquet.
The feathers have been sent with diamante detailing instead of plain so now have to check with the bride, which one she wants to use.
In the meantime, 100 Swarovski crystals have so be attatched to several monofilament strands.....here goes sticky fingers and patience!

A little time away

Just had a fab time away for the weekend with my family.

On a rare weekend together, managed to get away with sunshine as an added bonus!

Still managed to find a bead shop and buy some things for Hayley's bouquet....more on that to follow this week.

Found a fab new thing that I just had to try and to show you the results...Paper pom poms!

Used to decorate tables, hang from the ceiling, place on the end of church pews...the possibilities are endless and they are sooooo much fun!

Will be adding them to my webshop real soon!

Stem

Time to add the stems to the flowers.  A spiral shape top will be hand stitched to the centre (underside) of the flower and then covered with felt.

Crystal buttons will also have to be put onto non tarnish wire to use within the bouquet.

One stem down, another five to go!

Time for a little sparkle!

The Swarovski crystals have arrived and it is time to add a little sparkle to centre of each flower.

Mike Nesmith Hat

An unusual request, but being a fan of the Monkees myself....I couldn't resist!

Create a hat for a fellow fan to wear to the concert in October, so here it is

What do you think?

fabric flowers

Will have some new additions to the website soon.  I am currently playing with fabric and fire!....with a bowl of water nearby, just in case!

Loving the way fabric moves when held to a flame.

Great flowers for corsages and wedding bouquets to come, just got to decide which colour I like best.

So far done red, purple and white- should have done red, white and blue for the jubilee...too late now.

Think tonight I fancy peach.

Happy curling

Tattershall wedding fayre

Last week I attended the wedding fayre at Tattershall Castle.
Several weeks of preparation and disturbed sleep, I was very nervous, but needn't have been.
The staff, other stallholders and couples were all great and I had a brilliant day.

Had a few days off to relax and now back to creating a head piece full of beads and organza!!

Pictures of my pieces at the fayre....

Sunday 6 May 2012

Fantastic!

Just got home from a wedding fayre at Tattershall Castle.

Took some pictures of my stand and will put those on in the next few days.

Exhausted, but had a great day meeting other people in the bridal business and the customers were so enthusiastic, an inspiration in themselves.

Next to Stuart Wilde who had great pictures on display....a good person to get on with all day taking photos of your wedding etc- check out his website shown on my home page! http://eiledon.co.uk

Lets hope I now get some encouraging orders!

Now for a drink.....and some chocolate.

Will take photos to add to the blog another day.

Still much more creating to be done, but tonight I am relaxing.....

For those single, or not, come along to say hi!

Updating driving me crazy and just now want to show world!

I have been updating the website and concentrating on a number of new designs
so have not managed to update the blog for quite some time.

I am now at the exciting stage of launching the new collections and look
forward to hearing your reviews.

Just added more pages to my online store so that you will be able to go to the item required easier.

Just have to get everything put on now as quickly as possible so that the site can once again go live!

Must dash and continue with updating....
